Weekend Mission Accomplished

What a fabulous weekend.  I played in my garden, practiced with my camera, arranged flowers to my heart’s content, visited with daughter #2 and managed not to burst anyone’s eardrums while cantoring two Masses on Sunday.  I took long naps, enjoyed the DH’s deliciously prepared meals and even managed to fit in the Day #2 workout of this  http://shrinkingjeans.net/2011/06/shrinking-bootcamp-w1d1/
Bootcamp Challenge.

The Kona had to be watched to make sure she didn’t further injure her sprained ankle but she seems right as rain this morning, so I allowed her a short play date with her buddy Maverick.  She will be back at daycare on Wednesday.  I wish I could bounce back from my pulled hamstring as quickly as Kona recovered from her ankle sprain!

I enjoyed these flowers…

and this movie at the Hermitage Museum on Friday night.

While playing in the garden on Saturday morning I spied this beautiful creature among the lantana.

I bought some flowers at a local farmer’s market, mixed them in with some picked from my own backyard and came up with some fun arrangements for the house.

Loads of laundry, a less-than-spotless home, more workouts and walks, and hopefully, spontaneous moments of playful creativity, await me this coming week.  I’m ready!

  1. Sounds like a great weekend Liz! I missed how Kona sprained her ankle, poor thing! We couldn’t get to the Herm for Friday night, other stuff came up, but for sure we’re headed back for Roman Holiday. I love that movie! And congrats on the cantoring…I bet your were fabu! 😉

  2. Kona played too hard at daycare last Wednesday. Vets orders were no intense play for a week. She’s on anti-inflammatories, for goodness sake! I missed our Friday photog meeting to make sure Kona didn’t go up and down steps by herself. 😦 Roman Holiday will be amazing. Then there are three more Sunsets by the River concerts planned for September…the fun never stops.
